Aberdeen, Maryland – In 2015, Joseph “Joe” Nguyen founded Veritech, shaping it into the industry leader in defense contracting it is today—recognized for its unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity.

In 2024, Veritech’s Chief Morale Officer, (CMO) JiLee Batman-Nguyen, passed away after years of devoted service to fostering the company’s culture. In his honor, the Veritech executive team established the Employee of the Year award, dedicated to recognizing the individual who best exemplifies JiLee’s exceptional character, mission-driven dedication, and spirit of teamwork—qualities he was known for among staff and industry partners.

We proudly announce Erin L. Tucker as Veritech’s 2025 Employee of the Year. As Veritech’s Quality Assurance Manager (QAM), Erin consistently exemplifies the highest standards of excellence, servant leadership, and unwavering commitment to Veritech’s mission. She played a pivotal role in guiding the Company through the initial administrative implementation of our Deltek Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems—while simultaneously standing up the Veritech intranet and developing more than one hundred (100) critical documents, processes, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in direct support of one of our largest global defense partners’ Armed Services–wide fielding of a Veritech product. Erin exemplifies “leading from behind” with exceptional self-management, calm and confident poise, and the courage to stand firm on well-reasoned positions. She continuously challenges herself to stay current with evolving technologies, meets every suspense with precision and thoroughness, and remains a trusted and dependable resource to staff across the Company. Her professionalism is further reflected in her reliability, proactive communication, adaptability, and strong advocacy for Veritech’s growing initiatives. Above all, Erin’s dedication to Veritech’s vision, values, and long-term business strategy makes her truly deserving of this recognition. Veritech’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Tracy M.
