1. Title: Electrical Engineer, Junior to Intermediate

2. Position Description:
a. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and conducting analysis to support development of tactical power systems for the U.S. military. The Engineer leads concept phase, design activities, reviews, and reports design’s progress with limited supervision. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring appreciable initiative, originality, ingenuity, and excellent problem-solving skills. This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of some electronic products currently in development.

3. Key Duties and Roles:
a. Ownership of the electrical design for the project with some supervision. This includes doing the complete electrical design, creating schematics, Design for Manufacturability (DFM) with the Printer Circuit Boad Assembly (PCBA) supplier, and Bill of Materials (BOM) generation
b. Perform worst case circuit analysis on paper and do circuit simulations
c. Perform de-ratings for the entire electrical design
d. Design and document robust hardware architecture and structure suitable for use in high-reliability embedded applications
e. Provide necessary support to existing product development efforts, and work in a cross-functional team environment to assure electrical system level integration and design for manufacturability
f. Construct prototypes; evaluate and document their performance; identify possible improvements
g. Explore new and existing circuit designs and methods to solve design challenges
h. Maintain an awareness of customer requirements and any complaints to identify any areas that may need development or improvement
i. Be able to work with various design sites globally
j. Prepare technical reports
k. Establish a culture of learning, openness, and accountability
l. Performs any additional related duties as assigned

4. Basic Qualifications:
a. A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with more than two (2) years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing in the consumer, telecom, automotive, and/or military industries
b. Must be able to do schematic capture
c. Ability to conduct layout is preferred but not required
d. Must have a good understanding of digital and analog circuitry
e. Experience with electrical Computer-Aided Design (CAD) modeling systems (i.e. Altium, Orcad) required; Altium preferred
f. Strong quantitative, design, analytical, and problem-solving skills required
g. Strong verbal and written communication skills required
h. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required
i. As we are an International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) facility, we hire only U.S. persons who are defined as U.S. citizens or green card holders

5. Preferred Qualifications
a. Previous Department of Defense (DoD) experience
b. Active Secret Clearance

6. Travel: Minimal; Up to ten (10)% Continental United States (CONUS) travel

7. Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a background check and/or security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: Ability to gain clearance required; Active Secret Clearance preferred
