Electronic Assembler, Mid-Senior
1. Title: Electronic Assembler, Mid-Senior
a. Status: Full-Time, Regular Salary, Non-Exempt
b. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 0900hrs – 1700hrs
c. Location: On-Site, Aberdeen, MD
d. Supervisory: No
2. Key Roles/Duties:
a. Assembly and Soldering: Perform soldering and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount (SMT) and through-hole techniques
b. Inspection: Examine assembled components to ensure they meet quality standards
c. Testing: Operate equipment to verify the functionality of completed assemblies
d. Documentation: Record assembly steps and inspection results for quality tracking
e. Adherence to Protocols: Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and workplace safety standards
f. Attention to Detail: Ensure precision in assembly, soldering, and inspection of electronic components to support the Design Verification Test (DVT) build
3. Basic Qualifications:
a. Experience in soldering, assembly, and inspection of electronic components
b. Hands-on experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole soldering techniques
c. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
d. Strong visual acuity for inspecting small components and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision
4. Preferred Qualifications:
a. Experience with Military Standard (MIL-STD)-2000, MIL-STD-202G, and MIL-STD-750D
b. Certification in Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) J-STD-001 and familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards
c. Experience working in a DVT or prototype build environment
d. Familiarity with ESD handling procedures
5. Travel: Up to five (5) percent (%) Continental United States (CONUS) travel (local)
