1. Network Engineer, Junior & Intermediate 
a. Status: Full Time (Salary or 1099)

2. Position Summary: The full-time, on-site Network Engineer is responsible for testing, upgrading, monitoring, operating, and/or maintaining a variety of telecommunications equipment and supporting software for government and commercial customers, particularly Cisco IP-based devices such as routers and switches as well as tactical radio equipment from a range of vendors. This role will emphasize software development and testing in order to successfully integrate multiple equipment pieces into a cohesive tactical communications system targeted at military end users.

3. Key Roles/Duties:
a. Project scheduling for various tactical radio integration and upgrade efforts
b. Creating test plans for the software upgrades developed by the candidate and other team members
c. Participating in the execution of testing for the software upgrades developed by the candidate and other team members, as well as documenting the outcomes of said testing and tracking results using tools such as JIRA
d. Operating, maintaining, and/or working in context with various tactical radio equipment and software elements from a range of commercial vendors and government entities, including both traditional and Software-Defined Radios (SDR)

4. Basic Qualifications:
a. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or comparable field)
b. Five (5)+ years of related experience
c. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
d. Excellent written, verbal, and communications skills
e. Effective organization skills for content management and collaboration
f. Familiar with the proper handling of all–including sensitive or classified data
g. Experience working on projects involving innovation and/or modernization

5. Preferred Qualifications:
a. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology (or comparable field)
b. Five (5)+ years of relevant experience
c. Cisco Certifications such as CCNP ENCOR, CCNA, etc.
d. CompTIA Certifications such as Security+, CompTIA A+, etc.

6. Clearance: Secret clearance is required, or the ability to gain a clearance
